Maria began her career at Bain & Company before joining Groupon UK, following her MBA at INSEAD. She later joined Depop as VP of Operations and was subsequently appointed CEO. From 2016 to 2022, Maria led Depop through a remarkable phase of growth and culminating in its successful acquisition by Etsy in 2021.
Maria now serves on the boards of the Women’s Professional League and Collagerie. She is also an active angel investor in startups, including Trip, LOCI, OMADA, Clipdrop (acquired by Stability AI) and Transak.
Born in Valencia, Spain, Maria now resides in London with her husband and three children.
In her spare time, Maria enjoys connecting with Depop’s entrepreneurial Gen-Z community and promoting women in the workplace.
