Ciaran is General Counsel at Felix Capital having worked with the fund since 2020 where he provides counsel on all investments and portfolio company related legal matters.
Ciaran has spent the last decade advising and being part of the senior management team of disruptive venture backed businesses and venture capital investors. During this time as well as being general counsel for Felix Capital he has been part of the senior leadership teams of two IPOs - Rockley Photonics on NYSE in 2021 ($1.2bn) and eve sleep on London:AIM in 2017 (£135m). Ciaran has also helped raise in excess of $600m of investment in aggregate across multiple equity rounds, venture debt, senior debt, PIPEs, ATMs and convertible bonds, set-up a $42m manufacturing joint venture in China, and negotiated a >$70m complex multi-year development program with one of the largest consumer devices companies in the world amongst other things.
Ciaran is the founder of Roixon Advisory a consultancy that works with venture backed growth companies and venture capital funds as an extension to their management teams advising on fundraising strategy, deal structuring, corporate development, exit planning and providing general counsel. During this time Ciaran has advised on in excess of $1.5bn of transactions.
Ciaran is a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, having previously worked in private practice most recently at Cooley where he helped set-up and grow their emerging companies practice in London. Ciaran was included on Legal Business’ General Counsel “Power-List” in 2020 described as “changing the paradigm of what it means to be a GC. He is a lawyer and an entrepreneur at the same time.”
In his spare time Ciaran is a keen sportsman and enjoys running, cycling, squash and skiing.
